Question

Bridge indexes .trashes folder only

I am new to Adobe Bridge, and am exploring its functionality to possibly integrate into my workflow. I have an external SSD with folders and many subfolders of images. I would like to be able to use Bridge to search all the subfolders for images with the same prefix (e.g. search "CJD" to return "CJD-1", "CJD-2", etc.). The issue I am running into is that every search I make returns a mix of files within the SSD AND files within the SSD/.Trashes folder. Sometimes, the actual files meeting the search criteria aren't shown, only the ones in .Trashes. My SSD has several thousands of photos, but this issue persists when I search within a smaller subset of folders as well. Has anyone experienced this? I would at least like to remove the results from the .Trashes folder in my search.

Under "View" I do not have "show hidden files" checked, so I don't think that is the issue.

Perhaps Bridge may have only indexed the .Trashes folder for some reason? When I tried clearing the cache, it rebuilt the .Trashes index again, so that didn't seem to work.

Thank you in advance!
