Bridge installation gets stuck at 10% progress

I am trying to install Bridge and it keeps getting stuck at 10% progress. I found this site:https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/failed-install-creative-cloud-desktop.html. I successfull ran the creative cloud desktop app uninstaller. Then I went to run the "creative cloud cleaner tool", but when I open the .exe file, I get the following error message: 

"There was a problem while reading the contents of 'AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe': Data is corrupted"

I am stuck and don't understand why I'm having such a roadblock just trying to install Bridge. Please help!
