Question

Bridge keeps reverting back to default workspace.

I set up Bridge with a custom workspace called 'My Workspace'. Since the latest update of Bridge it won't open with my custom workspace every time. It often opens with the default workspace which forces me to reset the workspace. How do I get My Workspace to show up every time I open Bridge?

I'm in CS5 Windows 10. Every time I use Photoshop it resets the Bridge workspace and it now leaves bridge open so it starts on the next boot. Photoshop never did this before and it is very annoying.

This is not answered. This bug is still not fixed. And the new release of Bridge version 9 and the bug still exists. Is this ever going to be corrected?. Why isn't Adobe talking? It's still very frustrating. And version 9 has added another problem. Why are the images in Bridge darker then they are in Photoshop? Instead of making new versions introducing new problems why doesn't Adobe fix all the old problems? If I sound upset your right. I'm paying monthly for these programs and I'm not getting answers. I've been waiting since November 2017.

Exactly my philosophy I keep saying - first do something with bugs then incorporate new features!

You know there still isn't a fix for this problem. No one has come up with one. I can't believe this problem can't be fixed. It is very frustrating. Before the last Bridge update this never happened. Someone at Adobe needs to address this problem and get it fixed. I'm really tired of resetting my workspace every time I open Bridge. Whoever made changes in the last update of Bridge caused this problem and it needs to be fixed.

I’m having this same problem, but in InDesign.

Background: I am using the 2017 version of InDesign, because when I attempted to use the 2018 version, I started having major file issues, as in I couldn’t open my files. It was really hampering my ability to get work done, so I reverted to 2017 InDesign.

Today I actually deleted all my custom workspaces in 2017 InDesign and rebuilt my most-used custom workspace. It loaded properly a couple times, but now it’s back to loading the “Essentials” workspace.

    Hi MTerrien,

Can you please let us know in which version of Adobe Bridge have you created the new workspace.

Also did you migrate preferences while installing Adobe Bridge CC 2018. If no, then you need to create the workspace in Adobe Bridge CC 2018 and save it. Now when you launch CC 2018 again, you will get the custom workspace.

Please let us know if it helps.

    Regards,

    Abhishek Seth.

    Using version 8.0.0.262 x64.

You were right. I migrated my old workspace. So I saved it again under the new version and now it comes up every time I open Bridge. Thank you.

NOTE: See my new post. It didn't really work.
