Bridge Lightroom compatibility?

I've used Bridge for years, but it seems that with later cameras, like the Nikon Z9 it does not show thumbnails of nor play videos, unless there is some secret I don't know about. I've never liked Lightroom, but I found that it does show theses thumbnails, which would make it much easier to add desired metadata without having to use free programs like Nikon Studio to show or play the video. So I was trying to test how compatible the 2 program in the title. I see that LR shows my entered metadata, and keywords. but I also saw that it had dates for the videos, which bridge lacks. I tried exporting a file with the date and also added a keyword, saving with the same file name and location and checking back to see the file in the same folder in Bridge and nothing new added. Is there someone familiar with both programs who can explain why this is so.

Lightroom and Bridge are developed by different teams and have different file format support. Some newer types of videos are not yet supported in Bridge. Unfortunately, the Bridge development team has struggled for a number of years to get the app straightened out. The rewriting with version 13 was a mess and the current version is still lacking in many ways compared to version 12.

there used to be arrows for up and down at the top and bottom of the scroll bar. I may have thousands of files in a folder and it is hard to just grab and pull without going past the desired file, when close but not quite there. It seems that with each version the 'developers' take away more useful things. Free programs like Nikon studio and Windows media can show and play such videos, while increasing Photoshop rates over 50% only rewards their incompetence.

I just looked at some general screen shots from the current versions of macOS and Windows 11…and not in Adobe software, for example in the windows on the OS desktop itself. There has definitely been a long, general trend toward narrower scroll bars and the removal of the arrows at the ends of scroll bars. Adobe did not start this trend.

What could be the reason for making it harder to use scroll bars? There are multiple, similar reasons for this: Scroll bars are now the most difficult way to scroll a window.

Practically all desktop computers now come with a mouse with a scroll wheel, and practically all laptops now come with a multi-touch trackpad. Now, instead of having to maneuver the pointer toward scroll arrows away from where you are working, it's much easier to simply leave the pointer anywhere within a window like a web page, a folder window, or a Content panel in Bridge, and just roll the mouse scroll wheel, or swipe the trackpad with fingers just as everyone is used to doing on their phones.

So the disappearance of scroll arrows in Bridge isn’t really something unusual that Adobe is doing. Disappearing scroll arrows and narrow scroll bars are happening in all software, a consequence of us now having more, better choices for scrolling a window.

Hi, if you don't like Lightroom, use Bridge. You can also make the
adjustments you want there. If you have the latest version, the files
will also appear in the Filmstrip, and you can select the files you want
to adjust, and then it will happen automatically in the data for the
entire series. Good luck! eddy

I just got Bridge 16 from the cloud. How do I pin this version to my task bar, which has the earlier version and goes there when I click. Where is the film strip?
