Bridge not downloading recent iphone photos

I've been using Bridge for years and it's always taken ages to transfer photos from my iPhone (currently iPhone 14) to my pc (Windows 11).   Recently, Bridge doesn't seem to recognize the most recent photos on my phone.  When it does start to download it downloads loads of past photos in a random order.
