Bridge not opening files in Illustrator

Sorry to see this issue has been showing up in the forum since 2018: doesn't look good!

Anyway, fwiw, I'll mention that when I right-click a thumbnail in Bridge and select Open with … Illustrator, Illustrator opens but the file doesn't. Stranger yet, the file appears in the Recent list.

I'll mention this in the Illustrator forum as well, to cover both ends of the problem.

Yes, opening / saving a file without involving Bridge works correctly.

Works fine here.

What version of Illustrator are you using and what version of Bridge?

Can you open the file directly to Illustrator and resave?
