bridge opens images with one click

bridge needs the slightest one click to start to open images i'm just trying to select to preview, to compare and i can tell you that makes the day SSUUUUUUUPPPPPPEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR frustrating. instead of 5 seconds selecting 2 images to see them next to each other in preview and be happy... i open the images by mistake, i have to close the images, i have to select the images AGAIN of course, i fear AGAIN of course that they will open AGAIN.... :))) adobe.. please... i wanna sell everything and go live in the woods

imac late 2015, OS Monterey, Wacom Intuos, latest photoshop and bridge installed. what ever is the latest, i install the latest so.. the latest as of today :))
