Hi there,
who can help me?. I use Bridge's photo downloader to import the photos from the camera. In the Photo Downloader, the pictures are displayed in descending order by date and in ascending order by time. Now the photos should be renamed with a serial number during the import. The oldest photo is said to be number 1. The most recent photo should get the highest number. I can't do that because the images are renamed in the order they appear in the photo downloader. So far I have not found a way to change the sort order.

Hi Hjk242,

Have you tried using Bridge's renaming mechanism that is under the Tools menu (Batch Tools...)?

In other words, bring them in as is and then rename them once you have them open in Bridge.

Thank you for the tip to perform the renaming of the files using the Stack Rename tool in the bridge. Unfortunately, this is not the perfect solution, because importing with the Photo Downloader creates backup files that are also to be renamed. I think Adobe should make improvements here. The same applies to Photoshop Elements.
