Question

Bridge Photo Downloader Downloads Double Images

I have noticed a problem for several years that when I download photos from my Nikon cameras (D7200 and D850) two images are downloaded for each one.  I have checked the storage on the camera and there are only single images, so the Photo Downloader is responsbile for downloading double images.  I use the software to download images from my DJI drone and only single images are downloaded.

I've seen that this is a known problem for years.  When are you going to fix it?

The proverbial "When" question can never be answered since nobody here knows.

This problem has been raised several times and is reported to be an Adobe aware issue. It certainly is not universal and so appears to be system specific. I have never experienced this for example and, for me, Photo Downloader works perfectly.

Does this afford any help?

Hi Erik,

Sorry, I thought that posting something here would be seen by an engineer.   I've seen the link you provided several months (maybe years) ago and I was checking to see if there was any updates on this issue.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi @ironstar1257,

Thank you for reporting the issue to us. We’ve added this to our engineering issue pipeline.

If you are on windows, you can try this as a workaround -

  1. Launch APD
  2. Browse folder dialog opens
  3. by default all the folders get selected
  4. Select one of the folder (see the sample screenshot)
  5. Click on Get Media button
