Bridge PhotoDownloader no longer downloads .mov files.

Bridge PhotoDownloader no longer downloads .mov files. When a .mov file is encountered during download it stops and a pop up box advises:-

Adobe Bridge cannot obtain files from this device. Please ensure that the device is connected properly, or the battery is charged, and try again.

I am using the latest version of Bridge and have neve encountered this problem before. Can some one help please.

TC

Don't use the Photo Downloader. Just forget its there. Manually copy the files off your memory cards.

Thank you for your commentss and, yes, you are correct, that is one solution but for me not the right one. Bridge Photo Downloader software has obviously been modified in the latest update and is now no longer useable when taking video clips from a card reader. One of the advantages of using Photo Downloader is that you can add copyright info into the metadata of all of the images/video clips you download.

If using it is broken then that's not a solution either, is it?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about this, could you please let us know the version of Bridge you're using?

Could you please try resetting the preferences of Adobe Bridge and let us know if it helps? https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html

Many thanks for your reply. I am using a Mac with Big Sur latest update and Bridge 2021 Latest Update. Pressing CMD+OPTION+Shift does not bring up the Reset Settings Dialog Box. I have reset Workspace and Standard Workspaces from top menu arrow. and purged Preview Caches and Cache files from Cache Management in Preferences.

Also I have added a folder named Bridge CC 2019 in the Library/Application Support/Adobe as suggested by a member of the community that resolved the same issue for him. I understand this isssue has been a problem in previous updates and wonder if this is something Adobe need to address for the latest vewrsion.

I am goingout today to take a combination of images and video clips and will try again over the weekend and let you know my findings.

Again, thank you for your suggestions.
