Bridge/Photoshop 2020 can't handle EXR randomly

I recently realized that Bridge 2020 ... and actually started with Bridge 2019 - randomly can't create previews of EXR (either on win10 xeon machines or win10 ryzen3900 machines). When opening in Photoshop 2020 the files are not able to open - because of an error.
My first assumption was, that those files got corrupted somehow during the preview process. But thats not the case...

It actually happens randomly - as i tried Bridge on other Computers to create a preview of those EXR and different Files were affected.
Than i tried open them in Photoshop CS6 and it worked flawlessly. Saving those EXR is also no problem and finally Bridge 2020 were able to create previews and even Photohop2020 were able to open them.
There must some issues with Bridge&Photoshop 2020 and Preview-creation.

The Photoshop CS6 is a unpleasant work-around - specially when you have to deal with many images.

EXR are Rendering-Results from 3dsmax&corona-render

Hi!

I have the same problem as lesezirkel. I use Bridge a lot to preview different .exr sequences. Would be nice if you could find a solution. In Bridge the prev looks like 4:3 in any format and in Photoshop it appears in 9:21.

Don't expect much help from Adobe.

If it has been yanked from Bridge, it ain't coming back.

You could always post a request on the Adobe user forums.

Hi,

Do you get an error message from Bridge or just a 'no preview' situation?

Can you also share the export settings from your renderer? I expected there should be an option to generate the preview that is saved with the file.

Hi Eric,

No error-message at all - just no preview, i get an error message when opening the File in Photoshop2020.

But opening the File in PhotoshopCS6 does work - so the file is not really corrupted. Just Bridge and Phothop2020 thinks it is.
I'm not sure there is an previe generated with the file - need to ask the corona-developer.

Can you include the error message from Photoshop 2020?

In the PhotoShop 2020 window to open the file, do you have any options available to select?
