Question

Bridge (Photoshop CS5)

My bridge stopped working a free days ago, it either will not open at all or it freeze.

I am planning on un-installing my CS5 and reinstalling it to fix the problem, my question is will there be a problem due to the fact the software is older. I keep it because of all my 3rd party software and all the actions I have created. I have the original Sofware Key.

Hi Lorinda,

I guess that depends upon if you still have the same operating system and same computer that you had at the time you installed CS5. Off the top of my head I could not tell you want the OS requirements were at the time of CS5 (Mac or PC). If you've updated your computer or have updated your OS, it's very likely that that might be the problem.

To add to your issue, Adobe has long ago stopped supporting CS5 (and CS6 for that matter) so there's no hope for any quick fix.

Sorry,

Everything is the same, the computer Windows 10. I do have the install disk and Key. my question is does it have to authenticate it online?  and will still work if its an older version

OH, that's a good question and I do not know the full answer to that. Hopefully someone who does will wander past this question and may have an answer.

To make this easier for them, exactly what type of computer you have, any specifics will help them. Also, exactly what version of Windows 10 is installed? Have you done any updates in the last several months? Years?

Sorry I cannot help you more.
