Question

Bridge. Placing images in InDesign, Photoshop, etc.

Hi.  I have the latest version of Bridge, Illustrator, etc.  In older versions, when. right-clicking on an image, it gives you the option of placing that image in an Adobe programme.  It used to just show Indesign and Photoshop - which is all I wanted.  Now, it gives me the option of all my installed Adobe programmes.  can I restrict which programmes is available to place images in?

Many thanks.

Ian

Adobe changed how Bridge is linked to other Adobe programs and so now they include menu items for things which aren't installed. Its been reported as a bug and promptly ignored by the developers.

You on windows or MAC OS?

On windows you can go into settings/ apps and assign file associations.

Not sure on Mac OS

You don't have options for none in Bridge?

Go into preferences / file associations and select which images you want to open with which app.
