Bridge problems with Catalina

Okay, so Bridge won't open now I've updated to Catalina on my mac. No update icons appear on any products including Bridge and Photoshop. When I click the install icon on either nothing works, it just fizzles to nothing. I can still use Photoshop but not Bridge.
Catalina seems to be a menace as my ON1 effects doesn't work now either!

Help please!

This is very bizarre as I've updated to Catalina on 2012 machine and Bridge works fine for me as do all Adobe products. I briefly had trouble with InDesign and someone sent me a link to a plug in to fix that. It does seem drastic to need to revert to an old system.

I have a machine that I updated to Catalina from Mojave.

One of the first things I did was the system clean up Apple recommended.

The second thing I have ahd to do is go to the permisions app and start settting permissions access on a varity of apps.

I have not had the issues others have had because of this senario.

All my Adobe apps work and open properly.

I know that does not help your situation, but I have a feeling your jump to the latest and greatest from Apple was buggered up by  not doing the system clean that was suggest as a precursor to to the upgrade.

Hence you may want to roll your ssytem back as Gary suggest.

Wish I could offer better suggestions then a roll back, but it appears to be your only option

Jim,

Is there a link you can post that elaborates on this Apple recommended process?

Hi Wadey66,

I have been a Mac user since 1985 and have watched with admiration of how the Mac universe just kept on getting better and better with only a few hicchops along the way.

Then came Catalina. This has got to be one of the biggest pieces of crap to come along ever from Apple. It will be fixed eventually but it's not ready for prime time yet. What I (and many others) recommend is that you revert back to Mojave until Catalina is ready to be used. I'm currently still on Mojave so I have not had this problem but if you google these words "how to revert back to Mojave from Catalina" you will find a number of ways to do just that. Again, since I have not had to use this I cannot in any form of honesty recommend one approach to any other.

If anyone else had had these issues and can pipe in as to their recommended approach, please do.

Good luck and let us know how you do. Sorry I cannot be of any more help.

Thanks for the answer. I was hoping for an easier option but hey!
