Bridge Search

Why is there STILL an issue with Bridge and searching for files after all of these years!
I'm in a directory, I can clearly see the file with filename "test".jpg

I do a simple search for "test" and it says no items to display?
I do advanced search.. filename contains "test", include all sub folders and non-indexed. And still no file found?

This is rediculous and I'm asking myself why am I paying for this?
