Bridge still not recognising Canon camera

Hi All - I have recently upgraded to Mac OS High Sierra (10.13.3) and now Bridge will not find my camera. It worked fine under Mountain Lion (my previous OS) but now nothing. I have tried updating Bridge under the help menu but it says;

  Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 Update

  There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.

  Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Photoshop CS5

  There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.

I'm using CS5 by the way.

Can anyone help please as I am going slowly mad.
