Bridge stumbles, falls down, gets up, falls down

Bridge 13.0.3 on iMac, latest OS.  Everything below is not normal at all for bridge; I use it a lot and am familiar with normal behavor, at least with Bridge 2022 and earlier.  These instances are random but typify what happens every 5 minutes or so while using bridge.

30 seconds to switch from filmstrip to essentials

10-20 seconds to return from ACR to bridge

30 sec to to move 3 images to the right in essentials

10 sec to open a raw file after dble clk

20 sec to move to new image after keywording an image

Is there something I can do to stop these delays?>?

Or is it inherent in your software?
