Bridge: "the item is no longer available" and is not in trash

Eight photos in a folder with others give this message when I try to copy them to the desktop to send or for printing in the future (Bridge: "the item is no longer available" and is not in the trash). From our induction to the ND Cowboy Hall Of Fame, so really would like to have them. All photos before and after are accessible.

When I trash photos, they no longer are in a folder. But these are still in the folder.  But...."no longer available".  I rename all my photos, so this can't be a problem.
