Bridge thumbnails don't update with Camera Raw changes

I am using Bridge 10.1 on an iMac (running High Sierra). I had updated Camera Raw to the latest version and the following problem did not occur (see below). However I did not like the new CR interface and was told I could reinstall the previous version which I did and am now running. However, when I make adjustments in CR, they do not show up in the thumbnails in Bridge. If I click on those files to bring them back into CR, the previous adjustments do show up. Another problem is that the CR interface, when quit, does not go back to Bridge, but returns to PS so I have to go find Bridge again to see it.

Any solultions?

By the way; using PS version 21.2.1 and CR 12.2.1.417
