Bridge tools for photoshop like batch processor not working

The Photoshop tools accessible from the Bridge Tool menu like batch editor or image processor do not work anymore since the latest PS update (23.2.2).

I can use the batch editor or image processor directly in photoshop, but the connection between Bridge and Photoshop for these tools seems to be broken.

Hi Robert,

 

These tools, and their updates, are installed by their parent application. If you had Bridge open when that PS update was installed, you are still working under the previously installed tools. Try to quit Bridge and restart to see if that fixes it. If not, quit Bridge and PS, uninstall PS, then reinstall PS, and that "should" do it.

thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately are both solutions not working.
I tried closing and re-opening Bridge and since that did not work I de-installed Photoshop and installed it again.

Problem persists.
When I click on "Bridge/Tools/Image processor", the window switches to Photoshop, but the tool dialog does not open up to enter anything.
