Bridge update fail (again)

Going back to when I upgraded from CS6 to CC, every time I update Bridge, I lose all my settings.  Workspaces, Batch Renames, Thumbnail Metadata, Scripts, etc.  EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!
Despite enabling the option to retain existing settings, it still wipes/ignores everything.  Very frustrating that every time I update, I have to set aside time to restore all my settings.
