Bridge update for Win 10

Clearly there is a significant number of Bridge users on Win 10. Why is Adobe forcing us to update to Win 11 when even Microsoft concedes that many Win users are not updating, and thus MS is continuing support for Win 10.

Why is Adobe abandoning us, and now with Premier Pro also? If you cannot/will not answer, who do we contact at Adobe to voice our displeasure?

I don’t use bridge either but now that I know i can’t use it because I still have WIN10, I WANT TO USE IT! We will eventually be forced to go to 11 as other software will no longer will be working either. I was forced to get a new phone because my 7S, which was fine for me, could no longer run my bank app because I could no longer update the operating system. !!!!!!!

I don’t use Bridge very much so it really doesn’t hurt my workflow. However if Adobe makes Win 11 a requirement for PS and LR I will be seriously pissed. I just bought a new Microsoft Surface Tablet that has Win 11 installed and I much prefer Win 10. Win 11 is just different enough to be annoying and behaves strangely at times so I’m sticking with 10 as long as I can.

I think that’s a solid plan, but the move to Win 11 seems inevitable for all Adobe apps, and onOne now also. So sad.

Totally agree. I am testing onOne as an alternative to Adobe photo products. So far it does everything I need to do all in one interface (Bridge, Lightroom, Photoshop) and I can purchase or subscribe. Looking good if Adobe is going the Win 11 route.

OnOne has done the same thing. The newest version of PhoRaw Max 2026 will not run on Win 10. I purchased the 2026 upgrade in April and there was no mention of a Win 11 requirement. They are refunding my purchase price. There is lots of legacy hardware and software still in use so the Win 11 requirement is BS.

You are correct! My onOne worked last week, but trying to open it today, I see that Win 11 is required and it will not open. I have a message in to onOne about this.

Adobe says it is because Microsoft have ended extended support. HOWEVER that is wrong Microsoft has extended the Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for personal devices until October 12, 2027.

I do not wish to update to Windows 11, if Adobe Persists with this attitude with the paid for products then they will likely lose my subscription along with a lot of others.

It is likely that Microsoft are influencing Adobe to encourage more users to update.

I will add my voice to the displeasure of these practices to whoever we can contact.
