Bridge uses 300% of CPU, unusable as fans race

Hi. Latest version of Bridge is unusable because sound of fan racing is deafening. Photoshop is fine. Tried quitting CEPHtmengine in activity monitor for no effect. online advice to check permissions via Go-Go to Folder- ~/Library/Logs/Creative Cloud/Creative Cloud Libraries found nothing. Tried starting with command option R.

how do I handle this?
