Bridge using MASSIVE amount of memory while importing

Hi,

I wanted to import GoPRO videos as I always do. I noticed I don't have Lightroom anymore (the old CC disappeared and I didn't know I need to choose and install between Classic and CC now) so I opened Bridge instead since I didn't have the time to install Lightroom back. What hit me was the amount of memory it uses while importing photos from card. All of a sudden OS X showed me prompt about not having enough memory to run the system. That was strange taking in consideration my mac is 32GB od RAM and the only apps that were opened were Photoshop and two Chrome tabs. Also it crashed three times while importing...

Is this some kind of bug? Screenshots below:
