Question

Bridge will not Open a File in Photoshop

Yesterday my Bridge stopped opening files. I have to go to the file folder once I know the file name and open it the old fashioned way. Anyone know if there is a secret code to get it to open files again?
This morning I went to the downloads and downloaded the latest Bridge update, but it did not debug it.
Even when you go to Bridge> File> Open, nothing happens.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem. I had been using a trial version of Photoshop CS2 and Bridge worked fine when double clicking it opened files. I then upgraded to PS2 from Ver 3.0 I am a switcher. I installed my new Photoshop CS2 with phone support from Adobe. They had me delete ps2 trial version. I have also running a copy of Adobe Creative Suite CS student version. It still works when double clicking browser. I have not changed any Mac settings. I am using a G5 with 1 gigabytes RAM.
After using I noted immediately , that Bridge didn't resemble what I had seen in the trial version. It also did not open my files from Bridge to Photoshop when double clicking.
I called Adobe today. He had me delete all my settings for PS2 and shift command opt right after double clicking Bridge to reset something or other. He would not wait to see if it worked. he told me my problem had to do with file associations and it was beyond free tech suport. get off phone or give him a credit card. well. it still preforms as before. I cannot open a file from Bridge unless i use the finder and open with...and this only works for the one individual file. I can see no preference setting in finder nor in Bridge relating to assigning Bridge to open to ps2 upon double clicking. He told me...when i double click my Mac doesn't know if I am trying to view or edit. So it doesn't go to PS2. For god sake, I bought PS2 to edit of course if I am in it and click the Bridge icon or go to Bridge from the Dock I am intending to go to PS2. I have no other app to go to in the CS2 arena.

aside; how can i get from ps2 to any of my Creative Suite apps, say InDesign???
