Bridge won't let me star or label my images

I have restarted - my programs are up to date - but I cannot label or star my images - any suggestions?

click view.... click show thumdnail only, so unclick.

Hi, i've been using Birdge CS6 till now and tried Bridge 2020 facing this same issue on OSX 10.13 (High Sierra).

The only way I could label and edit notes again is by changing OSX security preferences.

Go to System Preferences > Security > Confidentiality tab > Accessibility > Clic the plus sign (+) and add Bridge in the application list.

Close Sys. Pref. and Restart Bridge (it worked for me). On more recent system (Big Sur etc.) I guess you simply add the authorization at a different level (authorise to write on disk or equivalent). Cheers

Couple things that have worked for me with this issue:

1. Clear Cache

2. Go into Prefrences and labels and makes sure the short cut to use command shortcut button is selected.

This may be simplifying it or perhaps I don't understand. I ran into a similar problem when my labels weren't showing up in Bridge. Somehow I had inadvertantly chose "show thumbnail only" under the "View" toolbar. Once I deselected "show thumbnail only" my labels returned. Hope this helps.

Thank you, theleask! I suddenly started having this problem this morning, after using the star system without problems for years. But I followed your advice, and found that deselecting "thumbnail" under the View toolbar fixed the situation. What a relief!

No. I am done being blamed as the problem. It is Adobe that is the problem.

Did you figure it out? I'm having the same issue. I cant even right click and label them or use the dropdown menu. Basically Bridge is worthless to me at the moment. I dont know what happened. It started yesterday without an update or change in devices.

Hi,

Label/Rating can only be applied to an asset. Labels & Ratings will be enabled when you click on any asset.

Not when Bridge isn't working as designed, which seems to be the bulk of the time. Where does one find instructions for moving back to the previous version? That one worked much better for me, this new one is back to all the old slow thumbnails generation and random unexpected quits. I'm nearly ready to find another line of work with all the headaches CC generates.
