Bridge Won't Open

Greetings.  On opening Bridge, I get a notice that says:  "The operation could not be completed. The parameter is incorrect." followed by an OK button.

The program tried to open then disappears with just this notice.  I've restarted the computer several times, ran Norton's newest version and even uninstalled / reinstalled Bridge when all else failed.  Restarted and same thing.  HELP!

Took repeatedly hitting Ctrl, Alt, Enter quickly during start-up.  Works (for now)

I started having the same problem on July 4 after a reboot it had been operating fine prior to that (Bridge had been updated 10 days earlier), the log shows the following exceptions: 

BridgeUI::BrowserDocument::DoOpen | BrowserDocument::DoOpen threw an exception

BridgeUI::PApplication::DoNew | PApplication::DoNew(BrowserTarget) threw an exception

Everything else seems OK (plugins load etc.) then the log shows that it is exiting

BridgeUI::PApplication::Exit......

 

Bridge version is 11.1.0.175

 

Bridge had been running since 6-25 was shut down successfully on 7-2 and then failed to start on 7-4.
