Can't open files in Bridge 2023 by browsing in PS 2023

I have a CC membership and recently updated all programs to the 2023 version.  Now, when I browse files in Bridge from PS, I cannot doubleclick the files to open.  Bridge gives the error message "Could not open X because the file is empty".  I can open (mostl psd files but also .jpeg etc.) with the open comannd from PS or by doubleclicking on the file.  These are files I have opened this way in the past.  Thoughts?  Upon one restart, I could do this, but when I had occasion to restart again, I am back to this error.

Hi, @Onag At first, I was very confused by your comments but thank you for your screenshot. That might be the key here.

In your screenshot, there is no thumbnail for either the PSD or jpg images. If Bridge cannot see your images, that might be the cause of the missing thumbnail image.

What I'd like you to try to do is, in Bridge, Go to the Tools menu and go to Cache -> Purge cache for ("x" folder).

Let's see what that does. This may not work, but it's a good, fast, and easy thing to try.

BTW, the option to Browse in Bridge from Photoshop is just one of the ways to switch from PS to Bridge. It should not make ANY difference than if you were to use that or simply switch to Bridge from the Dock, the Finder, or using Command-tab.

I am having the same issue. Files will not open from Bridge. I am trying to open recently created InDesign files, but the error says cannot find the files in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign 2022\InDesign.exe

I don't want it to open InDesign 2020. It should be opening in InDesign 2023. I purged the Cache, but still same issue.
