Can't run Photoshop batch actions from Bridge

Since the recent updates I haven't been able to run any batch actions on files from Bridge into Photoshop. Initially it ran the action but didn't open the files so I got errors that the steps couldn't be run because there was no files open. I uninstalled both and reinstalled, Bridge being first then Photoshop after, and now the action dialogue doesn't even open. After un and reinstalling I don't know what else I can really do.
