cannot open image from ACR to Photoshop

the following sequence results in a Photoshop error:

1. select file some-image.dng  in Bridge

2. mouse  right click 'open in Camera Raw' ; image opens in ACR

3. in ACR click 'open' to edit in Photoshop: error message 'impossible d'ouvrir some-image.dng car le module de format de fichier ne peut interpréter le fichier'

the following sequence on the same file works

1. select file some-image.dng  in Bridge

2. mouse  right click 'open with Photoshop v24 default' ; image opens in ACR

3. in ACR click 'open' to edit in Photoshop; image opens in Photoshop
