Cannot open RAW file in Bridge

Newest version of the software and Camera Raw. What's weird is that among a set of pictures, only a few cannot be openned while the rest is fine. When I switch to Photoshop (also in newest version), the situation remains. See the attached images for more information. Thanks!

OK, that is strange. When I first saw your title I assumed it was because you were using a new camera that had not been formalized into the Adobe sphere yet but then I saw your screenshots and there they are (well, mostly).

Particularly I'm focusing on images #846, 847, & 848 which were obviously taken very close to each other and the one before and the one after appear fine where there appears to be an issue with the middle one. Why?

Would you be willing to post one of these image or send to me via PM? At least at that point we could determine if it has to do with your instillation of the application, the application, or the images. My thought is that there might be something wrong with these specific images which would imply that there might be something wrong with your camera.

So right off the bat, no, I do not know what is happening or why.

Hi Guoxing,

OK file received and did the limited examination that is within my capabilities. I think the file is bad.

When I clicked on it in Apple's Finder, I got this:

It did not open any more in Bridge than it did on your copy of Bridge

When I tried to open it in Photoshop, I got this:

And when I tried to convert it to a DNG format I got this:

I think at this point you should contact Olympus. (At least I think that is the Olympus suffix for their raw image format, no?)

Oh, one other possibility: there might be something wrong with your memory card. Here's a test to try take the card that had this image, go outside and take about 100 images (number is not critical, just enough to have a good sample. Then take a different card and also take about 100 images. Then, examine the images, if you get any images that do not render on the first card and no bad images on the 2nd card, than there's your answer. IF you show bad images in the first card and not the 2nd card, and if the card is relatively new, I'd contact the manufacturer of that card and see if they'll replace it. (If you have any way to show when you bought it, that would help.)
