Centralized Cache Management -- share for two users??

Does implementing centralized cache management on a local network share (I mean local as on storage in the same building) mean that two users can have Bridge installed and see the same document information?? From what I have read -- this is indeed a basic and supported method for the age-old question of 'using Bridge on a network.'

Could someone(s) experienced please comment??

Thank you!!

Hi ,

Bridge has always supported viewing same set of shared assets across users and machines.

Before CC 2019, users/machines were required to generate individual copy of cache for files for viewing assets.

In Bridge CC 2019 release , we have introduced a new capability to manage cache centrally, which allows you to generate cache once for the set of files and export the generated cache for other users\machine. This saves us on the time taken for cache generation.

This feature is useful when the files are shared across users and machines over a network.

For more details, please refer Export and share a cache

Also is there any way to guess-timate how big the cache would be??

I only know there's maybe 100k+ image files of various sizes.

Thank you!!
