Question

company photo search engine

I'm in the process of developing a media and marketing department for my company. I would love to utilize Adobe products such as photoshop and lightroom for photo editing. I'm looking at bridge as a management software that ideally could be downloaded onto multiple PC's in my organization to search and view photos that I've uploaded. I've heard this can be done and is a great option. My problem is that I need to make sure that other PC's can be logged into the same account simultaniously to search and view through my uploads. Also, I understand that Adobe Bridge is free, but I've also been told that I would have to pay extra per license when I subscribe to the Creative Cloud.

In summary:

1) Will this work?

2) Is it going to cost extra to use this service on top of my Creative Cloud subscription?

I've heard many different answers from Customer Support, please help!

Thank you for your time!

Joe

Bridge can be used with a free CC account. It does have limitations (no RAW processing) but each user should have their own account. You can get CC for Teams but that's more expensive overall.

When you say "search and view photos that I've uploaded" what do you mean? Uploaded where? Bridge has gotten better but is still not the most reliable for network use, really you need an actual network DAM for this.

I'm planning on processing photos through other CC applications such as photoshop, lightroom, etc. For my company's purpose bridge would be only used for photo management and organization.

I don't plan on other users having their own accounts, I just plan on being logged into multiple PC's in Bridge (if that's possible) so the media in there can be searched (via keyworks that I've tagged) and viewed.

Sorry if my terminology isn't up to snuff, trying to navigate building this department without much prior experince navigating software choices.

Our main goals:

1) Edit photos and other media (planning on lightroom, photoshop, etc.)

2) Organize and manage media, and specifically being able to keyword media for search purposes (found online that Bridge seems to be ideal for this purpose)

I've been trying to avoid needing different software so it isn't a hassle navigating between these two main goals (i.e. having photo editing software that isn't compatible with management software) Knowing these applications are part of the CC this should eliminate any data transfer issues and make the process more seamless in my eyes.

Thanks so much for your help!
