Contact Sheet script not working in Spanish WinXP Professional SP2

I have Adobe CS2 English installed in an Spanish Windows XP Professional SP2 work station. None of the scripts under the Tool menu works for me (Photoshop, Illustrator nor Indesign contact sheet).

Now there is an update that solves that problem in Japanese systems. Is there any work around for Spanish systems?

Note: I installed the demo version of Illustrator CS2 in Mac OS X. The "show me" help doesn't work if my language preferences are set to spanish, but thanks to the multilingual support of Mac OS X I can change the system language to english and everything works ok. So, I supose this is the same problem I'm seeing in windows XP, but in windows you can't change the language. Is there a way to script for any language?

Both scripts are loaded. The info that is displayed:

Contact sheet (loaded):
name: ContactSheet_ID.jsx
Version: 0.8.13
Date: 03-09-2005
Author: Bob Stucky

Export to Flash (loaded):
name: ExportToFlash_AI.jsx
Version: 0.5.14
Date: 03-10-2005
Author: Chandler McWilliams

The scripts folder path is:

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Datos de programa\Adobe\Scripts

And yes, I accepted the default path.

Javier,

Does Script Manager open? It can be found under the Bridge Edit menu on
Windows and under Bridge on Mac. If it opens do the Contact Sheet and Export
to Flash scripts report as being loaded (on the left).

When you installed on the Windows systems did you accept the default path?

Thanks!

I made a mistake. The Indesign CS2 tryout place command DOES WORK in Mac OS X in Spanish (Panther, 10.3.9. eMac, 1 GB RAM). The one thing I didn't realize was that I need an open document for the command to work. So, the problem is only in my Windows XP SP2 Spanish installation, where none of the scripts works.

It's a Dell 8400, Pentium IV 3 GHz, 1,5 GB RAM, Windows XP Professional with SP2 and AVG antivirus. I have Adobe Creative Suite 2 (bridge updated to version 1.02) downloaded from the Adobe ASN members software download (four CD images).

Thanks for the hint. It helps a LOT.

My QE buddy finally got some time, and has set up a machine for testing this. We should know more today or tomorrow.

While I'm still waiting a response, just a clue. I recently installed Adobe Indesing CS2 tryout on a mac. The option "File>place>in Indesing" doesn't work if the system preferences are set to Spanish, but if a use english as the default language, it works ok. So, I supose is a matter of changing these scripts.

Meanwhile, I can't use any of the automation in my CS2 application on my Windows System...

Exactly. So, I supose it's a matter of compatibility at the "language level".

I'll wait for your answer.

Thanks

Just to be clear...

You're running the english version on a Spanish OS, correct?

My QE buddy is looking in to it. We'll have some answers for you later today.

No error message.

When executing Adobe Photoshop Scripts, I only see a change of active application (from bridge to Photoshop) and that's all.

Same thing with illustrator Scripts.

For Indesing CS contact sheet script, the message window is blank, indesign opens and that's all. If I revert (Alt+Tab) to Adobe bridge, the browser window is blank and the application doesn't repond. After a while, the browser window shows again the photos. Then I can close the message window (always white) clicking in the close window button. Then I can continue working with bridge.

Note: Adobe Bridge version 1.02.

We did get good tests in Spanish.

Are you seeing any specific error messages?
