Question

Contact Sheet tool Script for InDesign

Bridge v: 1.0.4.6

InDesign: 4.0.5

OS: 10.4.9

We've standardized all our fonts at our company which meant removing a lot of the unnecessary ones.

Now every time we create an InDesign contact sheet from Bridge, the Names are in a missing font.
"Times" to be exact.

We've already changed the "Basic Paragraph" style, when no documents are open, to a font we are using, so that doesn't default.

I've looked at the script, and found where its creating the "labels" paragraph style, thats defaulting back to the Times font we don't have anymore,......

I'm guessing this is just a default to change somewhere, right?

Please help, very frustrating

The script does not set any defaults. It's using InDesign's defaults for the new document it creates.

But there is a way to solve the problem. I don't have time to look the specifics up right now, but...

When it creates a contact sheet it creates a paragraph style for the labels. I don't recall the name, but make a contact sheet and look.

If you create an InDesign template with a paragraph style of that name, you can set the font to whatever you want. The contact sheet script will not modify the paragraph style you created.
