Convert Sub Keyword to Keyword - Bridge

I know that you can drag a SUB KEYWORD to the blank space at the bottom of the keyword list to convert it to a KEYWORD. But, I no longer have any blank space at the bottom. Is there another way?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your help, Stephen. I decided to try a "trick/dance" and it worked!

Here's an example of what I did.

  1. I had a SUB-KEYWORD"Winter" that I wanted to be a KEYWORD instead.
  2. I searched for ALL assets with the sub-keyword "Winter"
  3. Created KEYWORD "Winter" (that means I now have one "Winter" Keyword and Sub-Keyword)
  4. Unchecked "Winter" sub-keyword
  5. Checked "Winter" keyword
  6. Confirmed that sub-key was indeed unselected and keyword was indeed selected.
  7. Deleted the sub-key

It worked!

Just have to pay close attention before deleting.

Thanks for your help!

I wish that I had a better answer than to:

(1) Export the keywords to text file, make a backup

(2) Delete the tab character indenting in front of the sub-keywords so that they become standard top level keywords

(3) Clear and import the edited keywords text file
