Question

Copy color labeled photos from nested folders into one folder (action? batch?)

I have several folders of family photos nested like this:

2025

     Jan

          01

          20

     Feb

          01

          13

2024

     Jan

          01

          20

     Feb

          01

          13

Inside each folder I have certain images tagged with the red label. Is there an action or a batch process that can copy all of the red images from the nested folders into one folder on my desktop?

You could write a script to walk all the folders and only copy the red labeled ones. I'd just go with manual search, myself. Use the Find command.

There may be a more concise solution but this should work.

Select the uppermost or parent folder then View>Show items from subfolders. This will display everything. Then in the Filter Panel you can filter on red labels. You will then see the desired images. Select all then copy and paste to your desired folder

Thanks Erik—Unfortunately I am dealing with 15 years of photos nested by year, month, and day. When I tried your solution It caused Bridge to stop responding. So it probably would have worked for a smaller amount of data or folders. I would love some batch action that grapbs all labeled images, but for now I just wait...

Roughly how many images do you have in total? Bridge is known to perform poorly with large numbers.

You might try doing what I suggested for each year. Repeat 15 times! Tedious, yes, but should work.
