CR2 raw format with Bridge

Latest (2023), newly installed edition of Bridge partly recognizes and handles Canon CR2 files: it cannot import them form camera, nor can it handle them in 'Workflows'. However if the files are on the computer it recognizes them, and the Camera Raw module can also edit them. (CR2 format is supported by Bridge). Thank you for the help in solving the problem.

System configuration
Are you using photo downloader workflow
Browse the camera assets directly in Bridge and try

Bridge version: 2023
System config.: Intel i5-9600K , 16GB ; 64bit system , W10Enterprise
version22H2

Bridge sees the camera assets, but cannot see any further data, nor can it
download them through File > Download images from camera (please check the
attached print screen).
