Tried uninstalling and re-installing bridge but the problem persists!

    This is getting interesting.

I take it you already tried resetting Bridge's Preferences?

You can try a uninstall, but Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

    If still no results,

Adobe Customer Care is Adobe's Official Support and they can access your computer to see what is going on, which as forum users we cannot. You have to go with chat. There are loads of CC users out there wanting to get a tech and it does take persistence, but we are out of options here.

    Start here: Contact Customer Care

I hope they can clear this up.

I just tried it with DNG, NEF and CR2 files and had no trouble (Hight Sierra, Bridge cc2018)

Choose the Finder, highlight a raw file. Choose File > Get Info  and confirm that Open With shows Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 app (default) 19.0.1

This is not my problem! I am in Bridge CC 2018 and want to open raw file thumbnails with a double click as I have done for the past 10 years. There is no problem on my mac pro. The issue is on my MacBook pro. VERY FRUSTRATING!

    Check your Bridge Preferences:

And to be sure double click opens raws in Photoshop CC 2018 instead of Bridge, be sure that is selected in File Type Associations.

Bridge's association preferences are different than Finder's association settings.
