Downloader always selecting 2nd card in the camera

For a long time now, when plugging either of my cameras in, which automatically opens Downloader, it ALWAYS highlights the 2nd card in the camera... all cards are the same make and size, and I have also swapped them round... as well as having lots more drives plugged in, which means that the drive letters of the camera change...

What am I doing wrong...?

TIA for any suggestions.

Windows 11 and Bridge 14 fully up to date all the time...

    I would get yourself a decent card reader and remove the desired card from your camera. That's foolproof.

      I know @Erik Bloodaxe but I have in the past had problems with the contact pins within the camera becoming damaged, but never had a problem with the USB socket not working, therefore I have a fear that it will happen again, rendering my expensive camera useless and needing expensive repair... Also, the camera charges through the USB, so it's extremely convenient to plug it in, offload the images, and leave it plugged in to charge the battery, all at the same time...

      This isn't answering my initial question, and I'd like to know if others are suffering the problem, but just living with it like I have for some years, or if it's a bug that Adobe should be fixing to make their software work properly...?
