Drive letters repeat in bridge

When I start Bridge the drive letters on my computer repeat (duplicate) and "jump" constantly. I may have three "d" drives and then four and then three again. I have to quickly click on a letter to try and access my files and often, because of the erratic behavior, I miss and must try again. Any suggestions? Thanx,

    Nope. Version 8.0.1.262 x64. Started about a month ago. As of today, problem seems mostly with drive D. It was all drives. I'm flummoxed.


    I would suggest remove Bridge and its preferences , reboot and reinstall.

    something has gotten buggered up with the OS and Bridge.

    Are you using a PC or a Mac?

    Which version of Bridge?

    do they all do that?

    Is it sudden?

    Are the disks internal, or external, or on the network?

    Did you rename them?

    Thanx for the reply! Windows 10, i7, 16gb ram, latest version of Bridge, Windows up to date. All but drive C do that. C&D are internal. I am looking at at least 50 "D" drives (and growing) after a reset of all preferences. Currently only "D" is duplicating and jumping but in the past other drives do as well. Two external hard drives and the 4 card drives in the machine. Weird!

    Have you set shortcuts, or symbolic links to the hard drives?

    Can you give the version of Bridge in help-about bridge?

    When did it start occurring?
