Duplicate This PC Hierarchy

In Bridge, why is the “This PC” hierarchy duplicated?  The same condition appears in Bridge on my laptop as well.

    As to why, nobody knows. Can it it be corrected? - apparently not and it has been this way for several years. There was an ancient thread about this but no solution was ever forthcoming.
