duplicating a photo in bridge

I use this quite a lot but in the last few days when i select a photo and right click or use the menu and select 'duplicate' nothing is happening. is anyone else having any issues.

More info please. Operating system, version of bridge, what kind of files, where are they located? Can you do other actions (rename, move, delete?)

hi. i'm using windows 10 on a laptop. i've uninstalled and reinstalled bridge so i take it it will be the newest version 2020. i'm working on cr2 files on the internal drive. I can rename and delete. i've tried unistalling the last windows updates but still no joy. the first time i try to duplicate a progreess bar pops up for a split second but it doesn't complete the action but if i try again the progress bar doesn't appear at all

Have you tried disabling your antivirus preogram? That can cause problems with file handling.
