Email alerts in Bridge CS4

Hello there!

Is there a script that instructs Bridge to email an alert or similar when an item is put into a certain location?

For example:

A new piece of work is dropped in a folder marked 'REPRO WORKFLOW' on a server. An email is then fired off to a specific user(s) informing them of this.

Anyone have any ideas?

You don't say what system you are using? There are sample scripts that have basic emailers that are part of the Bridge SDK download… Paul also has a post over at PS Scripts for a windows email client… I think the best that Bridge can offer in the way of a watched folder is to schedule at task that looks every given time period and checks the directory… This does require that Bridge is left running though… There are most likely better solutions from your system though…
