Embedding Bridge keywords

If I assign keywords to an image in Bridge, is there a way to automatically add those to the File Info/Keywords or Description? Conversely, is there any way for Bridge to see words that have been added to File Info/Keywords or Description, and add those keywords to it's search?

Hi,

Keywords assigned to an image in Bridge can be seen in File Info as part of Raw Data. Just right click on the image and go to File Info then select Raw Data in the left pane. You can search for assigned keywords in File Info at the top. Since the added keywords are part of File Info these will be shown if you open the image in other applications.

Please let us know if you have any doubts.

Thanks,

Bridge Team

Make sure you look at BOTH namespaces.

Setup keywords in the Keywords panel.

Select files and tick/check the various keywords.

They will/should be written to the file, that is the whole idea.

Except that's not what happens. Here's an example:

There are multiple fields which can store keywords, including dc:subject and lr:hierarchicalKeywords. File Info has a bug in how keywords are written, and it also varies depending on how your keyword preferences are set. File Info will show whatever is in the file, though.

Ok. So if I'm reading your response correctly, there's not really a way to save Bridge-assigned keywords directly into the image File Info because of "a bug in how keywords are written"? Does this seem to be a bug that is likely to be "fixed" sometime soon-ish?

No I'm saying don't use File Info. Use the keyword panel.
