Error code 146 when updating Bridge

I've just tried to update Bridge but it keeps failing with error code 146. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Creative Cloud desktop app but to no avail.  The error message is as follows.

I'm using a MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6, I've searched for 4F027F33-1864-4D6A-B94F-49BD37389D74 in .adobeTemp but it does not exist.

Can you advise me what to do?
