Error message in Bridge regarding Photoshop 2026

Good morning. The Bridge and Photoshop versions have been updated to V2026. I uninstalled Photoshop version 2025. Now, when I double-click to open a photo in the new Photoshop in Bridge, an error message appears saying that it cannot find version 2025 and the file won't open in the new version. It only opens if I right-click and select "open with Photoshop 2026". Can you help me, please? Thank you. Fernando

I have the same problem but when I right-click on the Bridge photo, I don't get the option to open in PS 2026.. In Bridge Preferences>Applications>Application Launch Option, after "Select default version...," there is a yellow triangle and exclamation mark inside after Adobe Photoshop. In the Application Launch Option, I selected "automaticaly select the latest installed product version." I had updated Bridge and Photoshp earlier today.  After Choose a version, It just said Photoshop Beta and it was checked. It wouldn't let me scroll to another choice. I tried uninstalling PS Beta.  Now choose a version is greyed out.  It's like Brige does't think I have PS 2026.

Not sure what you did, but uninstall both bridge and ps and reinstall bridge first and the ps.

let us know if that solves your problem. Thanks!

That helped. Thank you.  It won't open if I double click but now If I right click

I can open with PS2026.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

Could you please try the following steps:

1. Right Click on a file
2. Click on Open With
3. Click on Change Associations
4. Click the drop-down arrow
5. Click on Browse and select Photoshop version.

Thanks,

Bridge Team
