Everything is updated, I have the DNG converter installed, still can't open my RAW files

I have had a T2i since forever. I have been using CS6 & Bridge to edit. Well now I have upgraded my camera to a 5D Mark II and Bridge/CS6 can no longer read my RAW files. I updated all my Adobe products as it suggested. Still didn't work. Clicked a link in help that led me to Adobe's DNG converter so I installed that. Still not working. I'm not sure what to do next. I'm hopeful that it is an easy fix that I'm just overlooking. Thanks in advance for any help.

Also, this is embarassing, it is the 6D Mark II, not the 5D. Not sure if that makes a big difference in the answers.

    A world of difference.

    Cameras supported by Camera Raw

The 6D Mark II was first supported in Camera Raw 9.12 (nine point twelve).

CS6 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 9.1.1 which is 11 versions earlier so CS6 will never be able to open those Raw files.

Your original post suggested that you have installed the DNG converter but haven't actually launched it to convert Raw files to DNG format.

See Camera Raw: How to use Adobe DNG Converter - YouTube  (start around 1:40).

Once converted, open the DNG files (not the Raw files) in CS6.

No updates required. Bridge CS6 can read 5D Mark II Raw files out of the box.

Defintely Mark II Raw files you are struggling with?

Any error messages? What do you see on screen?

Yes, it is definitely Mark II RAW files I am trying to open.

I installed Bridge CC instead of the old Bridge I had, and with that I was able to see the image through Bridge, rather than just the CR.2 icon. However, when I clicked to open thru CS6, I still got the same error message.

    It read:

    "Photoshop cannot open this file.

If you are attempting to open a raw file from a digital camera, make sure you have the latest Camera Raw update installed via Help > Updates...

If the problem persists, visit the following link for more information"

and the link led to a list of cameras supported by Camera Raw.
