Exporting File Names Script

Hi all

I know absolutely nothing about scripting or code and am finding it hard to find an answer to my problem.

I am after a script that will let me export file names from Bridge and then let me paste these file names into Excel. The file names must be pasted in to Excel in the exact same order as they are in Bridge. They are not necessarily always in sequential order.

I have seen similar scripts on Adobe Forums but have no idea what to do with them. I keep getting error messages when I try to save them. Do I cut and paste the text into Script Editor? Where do I save the file? Do I run the script from within Bridge? Where in Bridge do I access the script?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Trevor

Thanks Bob.

Why isn't it always that easy?

Trevor,

On my site, www.creativescripting.net, there's a set of scripts called the barred rock scripts. One of those, export metadata places the filename in the first column, followed by any metadata you select. It should give you what you want.
