Exporting shared cache, still generating thumbnails

I exported a folder of 250 photos as shared cache on a nas server. Browsing with another computer does import the cache, but Bridge CC still takes a lot of time to generate thumbails and previews. What is this exported cache for, then?

Working on a NAS is problematic. It may work, may not. Bridge really isn't good at multi-user, server based image collections.

For the Bridge app on the first computer.

Bridge is to stupid to know that there is a cache file in the folder.

The second machine just rebuilds its own cache files
